Attack on Titan 3 Controls
Attack on Titan 3 control schemes for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC/Steam. Default bindings based on AOT2 patterns — final layouts TBD pre-launch.
Controls Overview (Pre-Launch)
Koei Tecmo has not published final control schemes for Attack on Titan 3 ahead of its Winter 2026 launch. This page and our platform-specific control guides document expected bindings based on Attack on Titan 2 patterns, updated with any official confirmations as they arrive. Attack on Titan 3's rebuilt ODM combat may introduce new inputs for aerial combos and weak-point targeting that differ from AOT2.
The game supports controllers on all platforms — DualSense on PS5, Xbox controller on Xbox Series X|S, and both controller and keyboard-mouse on PC/Steam. Nintendo Switch 2 controls will mirror the console layout when that page is added. Full remapping is expected on PC and likely available on consoles through system-level or in-game options.
We will update every control page immediately when Koei Tecmo releases official layout diagrams or demo footage showing confirmed bindings.
Core Control Categories
Movement and ODM: Hook deployment, gas boost, directional wire control, and landing/recovery actions form the traversal foundation. Expect shoulder triggers or bumpers for gas and hook actions based on AOT2 conventions.
Combat: Light and heavy attacks, dodge/evade, lock-on targeting, weak-point focus, thunder spear activation, and squad command wheel. Aerial combo inputs may require directional combinations during wire traversal.
Menu and Squad: Pause menu, map, squad command issuance, item use, and mission objective tracking. Quick-select wheels for items and commands are standard in Omega Force action titles.
- ODM Hook / Wire Launch — typically shoulder button
- Gas Boost — typically trigger hold
- Light Attack — face button (Square/X)
- Heavy Attack — face button (Triangle/Y)
- Dodge / Evade — face button (Circle/B)
- Lock-On — right stick click or dedicated button
- Squad Commands — D-pad or command wheel
- Item Use — D-pad directional shortcuts
Platform-Specific Pages
Each platform has dedicated control documentation with layout diagrams and any exclusive features. PS5 DualSense adaptive triggers may provide variable resistance for gas and hook actions. Xbox Series controllers use the standard ABXY layout. PC players can choose between keyboard-mouse for precise aiming or controller for familiarity.
Visit the platform pages for detailed breakdowns. If you are new to the series, start with our how to play guide which covers control fundamentals alongside gameplay systems.
Accessibility and Remapping
Control remapping is expected on PC at minimum, with console remapping depending on Koei Tecmo's accessibility menu implementation. Casual Mode may add ODM trajectory assistance that reduces precision demands without changing bindings.
We will document all confirmed remapping options and accessibility control settings after hands-on preview access or launch.
