Exterior Scouting Missions are Attack on Titan 3's repeatable open-battlefield content beyond the walls. Unlike linear Story Mode chapters, scouting missions drop you into dynamic zones with shifting objectives, roaming Titan patrols, and emergent events. They are the primary source of crafting materials, experience, and friendship points outside the main campaign.

Mission Types and Objectives

Elimination: Destroy a quota of Titans within a time limit. Prioritize efficient routing — chain hooks between anchors to hit multiple Titans per gas tank. Weak-point limb destruction slows pursuers when overwhelmed.

Rescue: Escort civilians to extraction points while defending against Titan waves. Deploy defensive-oriented squad members with high affinity. Use smoke signals to redirect Titan attention away from escort routes.

Reconnaissance: Activate survey points across the battlefield. Speed is key — minimize combat engagement and optimize traversal routes. Mobility-focused characters excel here.
