Attack on Titan 3 Story Mode

Attack on Titan 3 Story Mode — anime arcs, custom Scout protagonist, branching friendships, Nine Titans set-pieces, and campaign structure for Winter 2026.

The Campaign Experience

Story Mode is the narrative backbone of Attack on Titan 3, retelling pivotal arcs from the Attack on Titan anime through the eyes of your custom Scout and beloved canon characters. Omega Force reconstructs key battles, revelations, and emotional beats as playable missions interspersed with cutscenes, camp interactions, and friendship events.

Unlike previous entries that locked players into specific characters per arc, Attack on Titan 3 maintains your custom protagonist throughout the campaign. You fight alongside Eren, Mikasa, Levi, Armin, and others, building relationships that affect dialogue, squad performance, and potentially story variations through the friendship system.

Story Mode missions range from intimate character-focused chapters to massive Nine Titans set-pieces. Between story chapters, Exterior Scouting Missions provide optional content that supplements materials and friendship progression.

Anime Arc Coverage

Koei Tecmo has not published a complete arc list, but official materials reference story content spanning the Survey Corps' major campaigns. Expect coverage from early wall breaches through increasingly complex political and military conflicts mirroring the anime's progression.

Our story arcs preview maps expected chapter-to-arc correspondences and flags spoiler levels for each section. The story preview guide includes video analysis of announced narrative content.

The MAPPA opening cinematic — added post-launch — will visually connect Story Mode to the anime's final season production quality. Day-one players experience the campaign with in-engine cutscenes before the MAPPA update arrives.

Mission Structure and Pacing

Story missions follow the established Omega Force format: pre-mission briefing at base camp, squad selection, combat objective, post-mission grading, and camp dialogue. Main objectives advance the plot while optional sub-objectives reward extra materials and friendship points.

Difficulty selection between Standard and Casual Mode applies to Story Mode independently. Mission grades affect rewards but likely not story outcomes — failed optional objectives may reduce rewards without blocking progression.

Our walkthrough hub will provide chapter-by-chapter guides at launch.

Narrative and Localization

Voice acting is Japanese-only across all regions, featuring the anime's voice cast where applicable. Subtitles and UI text support English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese — the most comprehensive localization in the series.

Cutscenes use in-engine character models with cinematic camera work. Key story beats include playable segments rather than purely passive viewing, maintaining the action-game identity throughout the campaign.
