Attack on Titan 3 features a dual character approach: your fully customizable custom Scout protagonist who leads the campaign, and a deep playable roster of canon characters from the anime. Every character integrates with the squad system and friendship system, making relationships a core gameplay pillar rather than cosmetic flavor.

Omega Force draws from across the Attack on Titan anime timeline, bringing fan favorites into deployable squad roles with unique ODM fighting styles, special abilities, and affinity-gated combo attacks. Characters appear in Story Mode cutscenes, camp interactions, and Exterior Scouting deployments.

Japanese voice acting features the anime cast where applicable, with your custom Scout receiving selectable voice tone options. All dialogue subtitles support nine text languages.

Character Categories

Custom Scout: Your created protagonist — appearance, voice, traits, and persistent progression across the entire campaign. The heart of the player experience.

Playable Roster: Canon Survey Corps members recruitable through story progression and friendship milestones. Deployable in squad slots with unique combat AI and abilities.

Supporting Cast: Non-deployable characters who appear in cutscenes, camp events, and friendship side missions. They enrich the narrative without joining active combat rosters.

Titan Shifters: Characters who possess Nine Titans powers, playable during specific story and boss encounters with unique Titan form movesets.

Building Your Team

Optimal squad composition depends on mission type, affinity levels, and character specialization. Our squad building guide covers team synergies, and the tier list will rank characters once stats are confirmed at launch.

Friendship investment determines how effectively allies respond to commands and execute combo attacks. Characters with max affinity become force multipliers in difficult Nine Titans encounters.

Character pages will be expanded with individual bios, recruitment conditions, ability lists, and gift preferences as Koei Tecmo releases detailed pre-launch materials.

Customization and Identity

The custom Scout system represents Attack on Titan 3's biggest character innovation. Previous Omega Force Attack on Titan games assigned you specific characters per arc. Now your created soldier persists throughout, forging personal bonds with canon heroes and shaping your own Survey Corps legend.

Cosmetic customization extends to ODM gear appearance, uniforms, and camp display items. Gameplay-affecting trait selection at character creation may influence starting stats or affinity growth rates — details pending official confirmation.
